In March , 2021 School of Life Foundation, launched a grass root project : “Ambar Vidyadhara” a Primary School for the less privileged . In its first academic year , the school commenced with classes for Nursery, KG and Grade 1 effective April 07 , 2021 . Additional classes will be added in subsequent years

The genesis

Ambar has been put together by a group of like-minded learning enthusiasts driven by a desire to support and partner with aspirational parents to provide their children with a joyful quality schooling experience.

The pandemic has created massive pockets of unemployment and reduced incomes across all segments of our society . The hardest hit , however have been those in the unorganized sector .

Especially their preprimary children who have spent the entire year without any structured offline or online schooling .

As we commence with the new academic year , the ability to balance their meagre incomes with mounting living expenses is a daily struggle for this section of the population .

In this scenario providing an apt schooling foundation for their children seems a distant dream . . Available schooling options especially elementary classes do not adequately deliver focused and engaging learning to students and they do have a fee demand which parents just cannot fulfill . Thus, even after completing class 5 ; many of the children are barely able to read , write or solve problems

The First Ambar school is designed to provide engaging , holistic , experiential learning in a in a clean , safe hygienic environment at the sixth element school premises at b block , south city phase 1.

Our teaching staff , curriculum and learning aids have been carefully selected to deliver a comprehensive academic and non-academic rigor based on principles of development psychology .

Our mission : Provide an enriching learning opportunity to the less privileged in. a comparable public-school environment.

Our vision : provide a low cost , structured , engaging and value-based learning experience to every child so that she /he is able to achieve best in class language , creative , social, emotional and physical , benchmarks .

Program Features

Limited sections . Not more than 15 children per section
Comprehensive curriculum and Timetable covering languages , Arithmetic, EVS , Art , sculpture and Design , music & dance , PE , Values , Current affairs and projects .
Subsidized fee per child @ 500 Rs per month . Scholarships for academic and regular attendance .Annual charges @ 1000 / year.
5 day working . Tuesday to Sat . Sunday and Monday off.
Timings until July .Tuesday to Friday : 2.15 pm to 5.30 pm for Nursery and KG . 2.15 pm to 6.00 for class 1 to Class 5 . Saturday 8.30 am to 2 pm for all .
No uniforms in the first year of operation. Only uniform guidance so that parents and children are not under undue financial pressure.
School provided Mid-Day healthy snack School enabled Annual Medical and Medical insurance cover for all children enrolled in the program.
Compulsory parent guidance and training to ensure learning environment at home.

Sponsor Suite

1. Sponsor a child : pay for the monthly cost ( @ 4500 per child ) . As a child sponsor , You would be the child’s mentor and need to be involve in her day to day progress

2. Sponsor the annual medical examination @ 500 per child per year

3. Sponsor mid-day meals @ 100 Rs per child per week or 400 Rs per month

4. Sponsor purchase and replacement of learning aids/ play equipment /music equipment @ 1000 Rs per child

5. Sponsor computer and technology lab

6. Music/PE labs /Language Labs

7. Sponsor an event

8. Sponser stationery and books @ Rs 2000 per child

About School of Life

Aimed at creating an Abuse-Free World for Children & Empowering Women, School of Life (SoL) Foundation has been working vigorously for the cause since 2012. In 2015, School of Life Foundation was formally established as a registered trust under the Indian Trust Act.

SoL Foundation is a determined and dedicated team of lawyers, psychologists, behavioural specialists and communicators, who strive to create awareness and support on pertinent issues such as Child Sexual Abuse, Gender Equality, diversity Sexuality Education and Prevention of addictions among adolescents, Sexual Harassment Safety at Workplace, Menstrual Hygiene Sensitization and Cyber-safety. We train people to develop critical life skills, behavioural postures as well as understand their legal rights and responsibilities with respect to child and women safety.

In nearly a decade long fight to create safer and responsible communities, SoL Foundation have positively touched over 1,00,000 lives across various socio-economic backgrounds.

4. Imparting knowledge on Sexual education is vital for healthy growth among children and teenagers.

5. Safer School – School of life, is consistently working to provide children with safer school environments and helping parents in reassuring safety of their children.

6. Primary School Program for the EWS –

Most of our domestic staff and workers in the organised sector struggle to provide apt schooling for their wards. Available schooling options especially elementary classes do not adequately deliver focused and engaging learning.
